No tool can tell you that with certainty, and this one is explicit that it doesn't try — the panel's own footer says the signals do not judge the authenticity of any seller or review. What you get is a set of measurable patterns: how many reviews mention being gifted, how many landed on one day, how many are one word long or repeated verbatim. Those are things to weigh yourself, not a ruling.

It starts at 100 and subtracts a weighted penalty for each pattern found in the reviews on the page. Sponsored wording carries the heaviest weight, followed by short and duplicate text, date clustering, five-star skew and voucher-driven reviews. Seventy-five and above shows "Looks trustworthy", 45 to 74 shows "Some caution advised", and below 45 shows "Many suspicious signals".

Six of them. Sponsored or gifted phrasing, reviews written in exchange for a voucher or points, dates piling up on a single day, short or word-for-word duplicate text, a low share of reviews with photos, and a five-star distribution that only counts when short reviews also dominate. Each signal that fires is listed with its percentage so you can see what pulled the score down.

It needs at least three reviews it can read from the page, so listings with one or two reviews and pages where the review module hasn't rendered yet get nothing. It also only runs on lazada.com.ph and shopee.ph — the .com and other country domains are out of scope. When a page's review section loads late, the analysis retries as the DOM changes and the panel appears then.

The manifest declares storage plus host permissions for lazada.com.ph and shopee.ph, and the content script runs on those two sites only. Storage holds one entry, the most recent result — score, signals, page URL and timestamp — in chrome.storage.local so the popup has something to display. The reviews themselves are read from the rendered page and analysed there.
