What to look for
Read the site list, not the category
A review checker needs the marketplace domain and nothing else. CekAman declares tokopedia.com and shopee.co.id; PaisaVasool declares thirteen named Indian merchant domains. A shopping extension that asks for access to all sites can read your bank and your mail too, so make it justify that before you install it.
Ask how it pays for itself
The usual business model in this category is rewriting the affiliate tag on links you click, which means the tool sees what you browse and can overwrite the referral you arrived with. Check the store page's data disclosure: "user activity" or "web history" listed there means traffic leaves your browser. A trust score is a signal, not a verdict
Review checkers count patterns in the reviews already rendered on the page — sponsored or gifted wording, many reviews posted on the same day, one-word or duplicated text, an unnatural pile-up of five stars.
