Tab Manager gives you full control over your open tabs. Search tabs in real time, find and close duplicates, group tabs by domain, close multiple tabs at once, and switch to any tab with a single click. Keep your browser organized and reduce memory usage by eliminating tab clutter.

How to use it

  1. 01Click the Tab Manager icon in the Chrome toolbar.
  2. 02Browse your open tabs in the organized list, or type in the search bar to filter.
  3. 03Click any tab to switch to it.
  4. 04Use "Close Duplicates" to remove duplicate tabs.
  5. 05Use "Group by Domain" to organize tabs by website.
  6. 06Use "Close Others" to declutter your browser.

Permissions & privacy

Single purpose

Tab Manager has a single purpose: to help users manage their open browser tabs by providing real-time search, duplicate detection and removal, domain-based grouping, and quick tab switching and closing capabilities.

tabsTab Manager requires the tabs permission to access the list of currently open tabs, including their titles and URLs, in order to display them in a searchable, organized interface. This permission is essential for the extension's core functionality: searching tabs, detecting duplicates by comparing URLs, grouping tabs by domain, switching to a selected tab, and closing tabs on user request. Without this permission, the extension cannot read or manage open tabs.
storageTab Manager uses the storage permission to save user preferences such as default view mode (list vs. domain groups) and sort order settings. This ensures a consistent experience across browser sessions. All data is stored locally using chrome.storage.local and is never transmitted externally.

Tab Manager processes all tab information locally in your browser. No tab titles, URLs, or browsing data is collected, stored, or transmitted to any external server. The extension only reads tab information to display it in the popup — nothing is recorded or shared. It runs only the code shipped inside the package — no remote code is fetched.
